Fever Hospital Tour

Sunday 14 April at 2.00pm

Meet at Fever Hospital off Alexandra Road.

The old Fever Hospital in the Town Belt is to be converted into an operational facility for the SPCA.  The SPCA has kindly offered us an opportunity to see the building with many of its features as a former hospital still in place and to hear about its history.

We would like to offer a donation to the SPCA as a thank you for the time staff are taking to show us around the building, and will be passing around an envelope for a collection.

Non-members are very welcome - we suggest a $5 donation to the SPCA.

Mount Victoria Heritage Panel

A large panel presenting Mount Victoria's heritage to the public was unveiled on 18 November 2012 by Gaylene Preston.  Located on the side of the Embassy Theatre in Majoribanks Street, the panel displays highlights of Mount Victoria's history for both local residents and visitors to Wellington to enjoy.  It can also be used as a guide for taking a heritage walk around Mount Victoria. Design and production of the heritage panel was a major project of the Mt Victoria Historical Society.
